# Collection verification

> How the recipient independently confirms the cash handover with a QR code or a code.

A collection is confirmed only when the recipient independently confirms the cash handover. The carrier cannot confirm a collection alone.

## Why an independent confirmation

After delivery, the carrier holds the cash. If the carrier could produce every proof alone, a collection could be reported without a real handover, or with the wrong amount. The recipient's confirmation closes that gap.

## Confirmation methods

        Broco validates the code against the collection and confirms it.

In both cases, the recipient does not need a Broco account.

## After confirmation

Broco sends `collection.collected` to your marketplace. This event confirms the handover. It does not mean the wholesaler was paid.
